The pricing is right, Samsung Galaxy S Duos and HTC Desire V have similar specs and pricing. Now, How Sony is going to differentiate itself from these devices would be an interesting watch.

Sony's budget-friendly Xperia J leaks before expected IFA reveal

If this device launches for Rs.10k or less than that in India, it will surely sell like hotcakes!

The device has nice specs for a budget consicous customer and doesn’t seem underpowered, i expect this device to run smoother than its counterparts. The device is launching with IceCream Sandwich and Sony might give this device some sweet Jellybean treatment in the near future.

What else do you need for a 10k phone?

Sony Mobile on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Now Sony has released an official statement that the earlier information given by its representative about Jelly bean update for 2011 xperia phones is not correct.

Sony is ‘actively investigating’ update for all of its portfolio phones.

Switch from GB to ICS is a big one, while the one from ICS to JB is small, there are only small incremental buttery changes, if Sony really rolls out update for its 2011 xperia lineup, it would become the most trustable OEM, that really cares about its customers.

I hope, Sony will not disappoint its consumers.
